Grand Mesa (Colorado)

  On the flat top mountain called Grand Mesa (close to Grand Junction), you'll find deep forests (with aspens, firs and spruces), many lakes (some of them quite
  reminiscent of those from the Canadian Rockies), meadows full of flowers in Summer, nice overlooks from the road and along the spectacular hike of Crag Crest Trail
  (part along a high crest, part in the forest). At the foot of Grand Mesa, Cedaredge has also a small but interesting reconstructed pionner town.
