White Pocket
Kept as a photographer's secret until 2005, despite its proximity from Coyote Buttes South, White Pocket is an incredible place of twisted sandstone,
brainrocks,
colorful swirls and crossbedding. This area is likely to be soon protected by a permit system.
To visit this place, a 4WD vehicule is mandatory because it is only accessible via dirt tracks with long patches of deep sand.
To get good light for photographs -in early morning and late afternoon-, it is necessary to camp in the wilderness close to the site.
