Bisti Badlands (New Mexico)
If you like strictly mineral landscapes in remote places in the wilderness you will probably appreciate Bisti Badlands, like I do.
Here, you will not find grand landscapes and magestic canyons but a desolate and mostly flat aera of badlands with quite small but interesting geologic formations
as hoodoos and a few petrified trunks. There are numerous photographic opportunities at Bisti Badlands, especially at sunrise and sunset.
Tread lightly while hiking, as this area is very fragile, and don't forget your GPS device as you don't want to be lost alone in the middle of nowhere.
