Tadrart (Sahara - Algeria)
In November 2008, I completed with 3 other tourists a great hiking trip in the Sahara, in an area called Tadrart which is located in the southeast corner of Algeria.
This place is known as one of the most scenic of the Sahara and I can attest that it is a wonderful area where you can find large canyons with sandy washes, huge and
colorful dunes, arches and other geological features, plus a great amount of very ancient rock art. We also enjoyed the rustic life of the desert at the bivouac with a nice
team of friendly touaregs ("The blue men") who took care of us during this nice trip. It was also a photographer's dream for a desert afficionado as I am.
